Brokerage & Alliances Accounting Representative

Provides cash operations support and processes a variety of transactions including vendor payments, customer premiums and agent commissions. Completes accounting-related transactions as needed for finance and other compliance functions.

The hours for this role are M-F 10:30 am - 7 pm.

Position Compensation Range:

$25.00 - $31.25

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

• Prepares invoices and processes payments, refunds to and from vendors or insured customers. Reviews statements and reports and reconciles transactions as needed.
• Prepares agent commission files and reconciles activities with carriers.
• Prepares bank deposits.
• Researches accounting-related questions and issues and resolves transactions.
• Responds to escalated inquiries from agents and vendors regarding commissions, points, payments received, refunds on policies, outstanding invoices, premiums, endorsements, account statements, or other accounting issues.
• Provides accounting support to premium finance arrangements.
• May be required to complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience. 

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency using PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance, accounting, accounting systems, budget, or tax concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in accounting support activities in an insurance, insurance brokerage or other financial services functions.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of brokerage sales and commission structure, and brokerage vendors.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 5%.

In this hybrid role, you will work 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI or Phoenix, AZ.
