Job Description
- In collaboration with the health care team, ensure that the Pharmacy provides the optimal drug therapy to patients as evidenced by proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness. Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and enhance the quality of existing services in specialty area. Provide oversight and monitoring of clinical and operational pharmacy initiatives and services. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensuring relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standard are maintained, and various required human resource functions.
- Serves as the Pharmacist-In-Charge and ensures the operation of the pharmacy is in conformance with all laws pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of drugs and supervision of pharmacy personnel.
Additional Job Description
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist. Licenses and certifications: SC Pharmacist License, Current BLS Certification (within 90 days of start date)
