  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or a combination
  • At least 1 year of Project Management experience
  • Product Owner or Agile Lead experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
  • At least 5 years of experience with Financial Services, Commercial experience, or a combination
  • At least 5 years of experience leading agile teams and implementing data transformation
  • At least 3 years of people management experience
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Tableau, Databricks, Onestream, or a combination
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of associates to elevate performance, promote development and embrace Capital One values
  • Responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and managing complex Commercial and Enterprise projects through their life-cycles and seamlessly transition to the Commercial Accounting areas
  • Obtain a solid knowledge of all Commercial systems and products and translate initiatives into business requirements for Tech business partners
  • Manage and influence key Accounting systems, Tech Pod, External Reporting partnerships in a way that grows the team’s brand
  • Promote collaboration through regular team meetings and facilitate sprint planning
  • Effective presentation and communication skills for the customer, partners, and Accounting leadership
  • Hands-on leader that can actively identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risks
  • Have a strong understanding of dataset schema and manage ownership through the Company’s tech transformation
  • Monitor the status of new product offerings, business initiatives and efficiency projects to determine the impact on existing processes and implementing changes, where needed
  • Challenge the status quo and drive process improvements
