Requirements
  • Final year degree / diploma engineering students or completed Bachelor's degree / diploma in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Only candidates available for full time (in-office) internship can apply
  • Knowledge of standards, government policy, and electronics / electrical sector landscape would be an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Sets-up and operates all test equipment and performs tests within a certain product area;
  • Performs the tests in accordance with work orders issued by jobholders; conducts routine tests; acts as an assistant in complex or unusual tests, under guidance from senior staff or job holder
  • Records technical data, and drafts test result reports.
  • Performs mathematical calculations required to summarize test results
  • Assembles and disassembles test samples, hooks-up laboratory test equipment in preparation for testing; operates most laboratory test equipment.

CSA opens lab to test medical-grade PPE

TORONTO – CSA Group has announced the opening of an accredited, special-purpose laboratory dedicated to testing and certifying the safety of medical-grade PPE. Until now, there have been no domestic providers of testing and certification services for medical-grade PPE.
