Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • One to three years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or systems administration is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of budgeting principles and financial modeling is required.
  • Expertise with Workday, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms is required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and data visualization skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Workday, and data analysis tools is required.
  • Ability to work independently under broad direction and exercise judgment and initiative in developing and implementing financial analysis and system solutions is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical and technical expertise to support the management of budgeting and financial planning systems.
  • Conduct financial analyses and design processes to optimize the use of systems, analytics, and emerging artificial intelligence tools.
  • Perform system administration duties and serve as a subject matter expert for Adaptive Planning and Workday.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze annual and multi-year budgets for assigned divisions, colleges, or units.
  • Perform trend, variance, and modeling analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Provide strategic and operational support in partnership with academic and administrative leadership.
  • Align resource allocations, advise on budget planning and reconciliation practices, identify process improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with institutional and Nevada System of Higher Education policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or systems administration in a higher education or public-sector environment is preferred.
