Mintlify has acquired Helicone, an open-source LLM observability platform and AI gateway. Helicone's founders, Justin Torre and Cole Gottdank, are joining Mintlify's San Francisco team to build next-generation AI knowledge infrastructure. Mintlify serves tens of thousands of companies and supports AI queries for millions of users monthly. The acquisition will enhance Mintlify's AI products with improved performance, deeper analytics, integrated routing and multi-provider failover handling. Helicone, which has served 16,000 organisations over three years, will continue operating in maintenance mode with security updates and bug fixes. Mintlify plans to support customers through migration to alternative platforms. The deal reflects Mintlify's vision of building AI systems that autonomously maintain, update and evolve knowledge systems beyond simply answering questions.
Mintlify has acquired Trieve to enhance its AI-powered knowledge retrieval capabilities. This acquisition supports Mintlify's goal of modernizing product knowledge access, leveraging Trieve's retrieval-augmented generation infrastructure. The integration aims to provide faster, context-rich answers for users. Trieve's team will join Mintlify to further develop infrastructure for efficient documentation solutions.
