Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy and financial planning within consumer industries (ideally within travel and/or tech)
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think long-term, anticipate market trends, and adapt to changing business landscapes
  • Proven experience identifying and evaluating key market trends, opportunities, and risks
  • In-depth business case development leveraging analysis in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into business results and drive growth
  • Global exposure: Experience working across diverse markets and understanding regional nuances
  • Financial acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Development and execution of strategies at top-tier consulting firms is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in defining and operationalizing key medium- and long-term strategic initiatives to improve the consumer performance and competitive positioning, while working with senior executives across the organization
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities and develop perspective on implications and actions for the traveler
  • Monitor the traveler ecosystem to identify market trends
  • Identify business / value driver opportunities and risks
  • Assess strategic options and work critical stakeholders to develop the business case
  • Communicate findings to senior stakeholders, build buy-in
  • Partner with finance on annual financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis ensuring alignment per the brand’s needs
  • Work closely with Hotels.com Leadership, Global Markets Leadership, Marketing, Product, Supply, and Finance teams to ensure alignment of revenue goals
  • Leverage data analytics to drive informed business decisions
  • Regularly evaluate performance against targets against established financial KPIs
  • Foster consistency and alignment across diverse markets
