Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field of study is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing compensation and benefits programs is required.
  • Working knowledge of associate compensation practices, including job analysis, documentation, evaluation, equity analysis, market pricing, costing, salaried structure design, merit programs, and other total rewards programs.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously and regularly adjust priorities.
  • Proven analytical and business skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for rates, premiums, and adjustments.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations.
  • Clear, precise, and effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle compensation matters confidentially, objectively, and professionally.
  • Ability to operate independently and proactively.
  • Ability to establish rapport and work across all organizational levels, including with HR Business Partners, Operations, Legal, and Finance.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
  • Experience with the Workday compensation model.
  • Certified Compensation Professional certification.
  • Experience designing and managing sales incentive programs.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall strategy, design, and administration of Gables total rewards programs, including base pay, variable pay, benefits, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy aligned with business objectives, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to maintain competitive total rewards offerings and comply with local regulations.
  • Manage daily compensation operations, including compensation plan administration, market pricing, and job analysis guidance.
  • Develop and implement performance-based incentive programs to drive associate engagement and performance.
  • Manage annual merit and bonus cycles, ensuring fair and consistent application of compensation decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HRIS to optimize technology for total rewards administration, reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive communication and education initiatives to improve associate understanding of total rewards programs.
  • Provide data manipulation, querying, and reporting support for compensation-related and other HR data requests.
  • Complete annual audits related to compensation equality and benchmarking.
  • Complete industry salary surveys.
  • Manage associate benefit plans and programs, including health, flexible spending, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, and health and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, prepare communication and training materials, update the HR/payroll system with plan changes and rates, and coordinate with third-party administrators on eligibility and enrollment file feeds.
  • Ensure compliance with health and welfare plans, including preparation and filing of Form 5500, Affordable Care Act reporting, and other regulatory filings.
  • Manage relationships with external administrators and vendors and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Manage benefit contributions and payments, coordinating with payroll on timely premium deductions and collection of missed premiums.
  • Resolve associate questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures and ensuring prompt, equitable resolution.
  • Monitor legislative changes and industry best practices related to compensation and benefits and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties directly related to compensation and benefits as assigned.
