Requirements
  • An Associate's degree and one year of experience in a direct patient-care-related position are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews and precise annotations of electrocardiogram data collected during clinical studies and trials.
  • Ensure compliance with protocol-specific guidelines and standard operating procedures for electrocardiogram data collection and analysis.
  • Promptly identify and report anomalies or irregularities in electrocardiogram recordings.
  • Organize, store, and maintain electrocardiogram databases in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the data management team to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of electrocardiogram data.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members on electrocardiogram procedures, techniques, and data analysis.
  • Develop training materials and resources to support onboarding and professional development of new team members.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of electrocardiogram operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
  • Assist in processing, analyzing, and reporting standard electrocardiogram, Holter, and other ambulatory electrocardiogram recordings.
  • Use commercial Holter annotation systems and other commercial electrocardiogram-based products.
  • Assist in coordinating, preparing, processing, and managing scientific data generated by specialized electrocardiogram programs from commercial and research settings using local and off-site data management systems, and modify methodological approaches as appropriate under pre-specified study operating procedures.
  • Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll subjects.
  • Perform record reviews for local research studies focused primarily on electrocardiographic data collection.
  • Review medical chart history to verify that inclusion criteria are met.
  • Perform protocol-required procedures, including electrocardiograms and Holter recordings, while observing electrophysiology.
  • Create patient instructions and schedules for patient appointments.
  • Prepare reports and assist with operating-procedure documentation for ongoing studies, including data-quality-control procedures.
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional proficiency and competency in cardiac arrhythmia recognition and classification.
  • Maintain the inventory, storage, testing, shipment, receipt, and maintenance of electrocardiogram core laboratory hardware, equipment, and supplies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Formal technical training in obtaining electrocardiograms and Holter recordings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of personal-computer-based analysis programs is preferred.
  • A cardiology background is preferred.
