The Job:
As a International Tax Specialist, you’ll be part of our Finance International Tax team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:
- Responsible for preparing required U.S. federal corporate international income tax forms, including, but not limited to, Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 5713, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, 8802, and W-8BEN-E, as well as tracking CFC Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, Earnings and Profits, Previously Taxed Income, local foreign taxes, and various other tax attributes.
- Provide assistance to more senior international tax professionals in preparing various calculations and analyses in the compliance and financial reporting areas.
- Preparation of required U.S. international tax reporting forms, including Form(s) 5471, Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Certain Foreign Corporations, Form(s) 5472, Information Return of a 25% Foreign-Owned U.S. Corporation or a Foreign Corporation Engaged in a U.S. Trade or Business, Form(s) 8858, Information Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Foreign Disregarded Entities and Foreign Branches, Form(s) 8865, Return of U.S. Persons with Respect to Certain Foreign Partnerships, Form W-8BBEN-E, Certificate of Status of Beneficial Owner for U.S. Tax Withholding and Reporting, and Form 5713, International Boycott Report and all related return attachments, elections or disclosures.
- Prepare computations of earnings and profits of foreign subsidiaries. Assis in the identification and resolution of various foreign tax credit (FTC) issues.
- Prepare computations related to Global Intangible Low-Tax Income, Foreign Derived Intangible Income and Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax.
- Prepare or review calculations required under ASC 740 relating to international operations, including both current and deferred tax provisions, tax account reconciliations, and monitoring of local foreign tax audits.
- Assist with international tax software implementation and maintenance.
- Assist in gathering information for U.S. federal tax audits.
- Assist with various assigned projects, including research and planning for specific issues.
- Establish contacts at various divisions/subsidiaries for documentation and resolution of foreign tax issues.
- Assist with computations for section 987 gain or loss and section 986(c ) exchange gain or loss on a distribution of previously taxed earnings and profits.
- Represent the first level of return preparation and may be able to provide guidance to other finance individuals outside of the tax function. There are no direct reports for this position.
- Primary contacts are members of the tax department and operations finance personnel globally. Secondary contacts are corporate treasury and accounting personnel and outside service providers.

- Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Have 1-3 years of international tax experience either in industry or with a public accounting firm.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
- Having a CPA certificate and/or having an advanced degree is highly desirable but not required.
- Experience with Corptax and Longview is highly desirable, but not required.
- Enterprise software such as SAP or Hyperion is highly desirable, but not required.
- Be effective working independently as well as in a team environment.
