Requirements
  • Work within hospital radiology environments and service medical imaging equipment.
  • Have an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree, military education, certificate program completion, or be a current student with less than 12 months until completion; alternatively, have a high school diploma or GED with six months of experience servicing electronic, information technology, or mechanical equipment.
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
  • Complete GE HealthCare background checks, post-offer drug testing, ongoing customer access requirements, required immunizations, and applicable site-specific compliance protocols.
  • Lift and carry equipment up to 35 pounds unassisted and frequently perform bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex and extend the neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.
  • Demonstrate required vision abilities, which may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot imaging equipment issues in hospital radiology environments and implement appropriate repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
  • Perform safety and environmental inspections to ensure compliance with Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Complete service and repair documentation according to hospital protocols and GE HealthCare policies and procedures.
  • Maintain daily customer communications to ensure issue resolution, follow-up, and customer satisfaction.
  • Properly care for and maintain tools and test equipment and ensure their calibration.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures for the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
  • Mentor with and assist experienced technicians on progressive repairs and resolution and support efficient service delivery across assigned accounts.
  • Complete planned quality and compliance training within defined deadlines.
  • Identify and immediately report customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
  • Comply with the GE HealthCare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support customer needs through flexible schedules, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or adjusted hours.
  • Travel to customer locations as required by market and business needs.

  • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing effective repairs and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a solution-based service process.
  • Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electronic and electromechanical devices.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. The systems have received CE Mark approval but are awaiting US FDA 510(k) clearance and are not yet available for sale in the United States.

GE HealthCare launches Invenia ABUS Prime and StreamVue for breast cancer screening

GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts. The Invenia ABUS Prime system has been installed at BeSound in Los Angeles, marking one of the first US installations. ABUS StreamVue is a browser-based reading solution enabling remote exam review across imaging networks. The system received FDA 510(k) clearance and CE Marking. GE HealthCare Q2: Orders up 11%, backlog hits record $23.9B amid Patient Care struggles
