Requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in an aerospace production environment.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of manufacturing production.
  • Ability to provide timely progress reports on project progress.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to share lessons learned and company processes and procedures with new employees.
  • Ability to read blueprints and documents to specification.
  • Ability to assemble multiple components per drawing.
  • Ability to maintain high quality standards and work within a schedule-driven environment.
  • Ability to work with hands, including operating air tools, edge potting panels, potting inserts in panels, riveting, and general assembly using hand tools.
  • Skills in applying dec-lam, leather, rubber trim, and aluminum trims.
  • Knowledge of aluminum and Nomex materials.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to lift or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as required.
  • Ability to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot computer numerical control and manual press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform general fabrication of aircraft interior detail parts and subassemblies.
  • Support production efforts in all aspects to meet project completion objectives.
  • Fabricate detailed components to form assemblies and perform value-added tasks on detailed components.
  • Complete assembly of complex structures using subassemblies.
  • Operate various fabrication machines and equipment.
  • Trim and finish panels and cabinets using aluminum trims, dec-lam, leather, and vinyl.
  • Assist in leading project teams through completion as assigned by management.
  • Assist with project production planning and layout, organizational setup, progress reporting, and departmental coordination.
  • Promote quality craftsmanship.
  • Interpret complex blueprints to complete assemblies.
  • Interpret process specifications from various Greenpoint locations.
  • Assist in ensuring the crew is properly equipped to perform assignments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced fabricators.
  • Provide direct feedback to management regarding project visibility.
  • Follow the company code of conduct.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
  • Wear required safety equipment and practice safety guidelines and procedures, including hazardous-materials guidelines.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and full-shift availability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
