  • Working knowledge of Risk and Control Self-Assessment, control testing, issue management, Key Risk Indicator design, and risk event management.
  • Practical fluency with agentic artificial intelligence applied to risk work, including real examples of tools built or deployed; hands-on coding is not required, but technical depth is required.
  • Practical understanding of broker-dealer operations and regulatory expectations across the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and National Futures Association.
  • Experience setting enterprise risk methodology that specialist programs such as anti-money laundering, cybersecurity, privacy, or vendor risk execute against.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence engineering and product organizations without formal authority.
  • Ability to write for a Board audience and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Build the enterprise operational risk taxonomy, risk appetite statements, and supporting policy architecture.
  • Establish and lead the operational risk and resiliency forum, driving challenge and alignment.
  • Produce reporting to the Global Risk Committee and the Board that prompts decisions.
  • Establish decision frameworks, escalation thresholds, and exception governance.
  • Own risk assessment for new products, partners, markets, and platform capabilities, including emerging asset classes, tokenized securities, and international market entry.

  • Establish and run the Risk and Control Self-Assessment program across the global, partner-dependent operating model.
  • Serve as a risk advisor to Operations, Product, Security, and Engineering leaders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Own the enterprise risk methodology, including taxonomy, rating scale, assessment approach, defense-in-depth control framework, and Key Risk Indicator design conventions.
  • Build the operational control testing program covering internal control over compliance and key operational controls, including methodology, sampling, deficiency classification, and remediation tracking to closure.
  • Aggregate output from other assurance functions into a single enterprise risk picture and challenge results that do not reconcile.
  • Own operational resiliency, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  • Own enterprise issue management end to end, including methodology, intake, classification, corrective action, aging thresholds, and escalation.
  • Build the risk event and loss database, lead root cause analysis on material events, and feed learnings back into risk assessments and control design.
  • Design a Key Risk Indicator framework tied to platform operations, including trade and settlement volume, availability, partner onboarding, and operational capacity.
  • Use automation and artificial intelligence to move control testing toward full-population testing where data supports it and automate evidence collection and exception triage.
  • Build risk tooling that first-line owners will use and scale the program through tooling leverage rather than headcount.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a team of technically fluent risk professionals.
  • Build a risk champion network across first-line functions.
  • Represent Risk Management with regulators, auditors, and enterprise partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, fintech, or embedded-finance or brokerage-as-a-service platform.
  • Exposure to digital assets, tokenization, event contracts, or emerging market structure.
  • Experience in a business-to-business or platform business where clients depend directly on operational resiliency.
  • Multi-jurisdiction or cross-border regulatory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with governance, risk, and compliance or integrated risk management platforms, business intelligence and visualization tooling, or agentic artificial intelligence frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as Financial Risk Manager, Certification in Risk Management Assurance, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, or comparable certifications.
  • Advanced degree in a business, technical, or quantitative field.

DriveWealth infrastructure powers IOL Privé digital private banking.

DriveWealth infrastructure powers IOL Privé digital private banking. DriveWealth's embedded investing platform is powering IOL Privé, a new digital-first private banking service targeting affluent investors. Renascence Newsdesk What happened. DriveWealth has announced that its brokerage infrastructure is powering the launch of IOL Privé, a new digital-first private banking experience aimed at affluent investors. The service positions itself as a technology-led alternative to traditional private banking, built on DriveWealth's embedded investing platform rather than a legacy in-house brokerage build. The announcement, carried via Business Wire, frames IOL Privé as a dedicated proposition for higher-net-worth clients who want investment access delivered through a digital-first interface, with DriveWealth supplying the underlying trading and account infrastructure. Why it matters. Private banking has traditionally been synonymous with relationship managers, paper-heavy onboarding and in-person service - the antithesis of a digital-first model. A launch that explicitly targets affluent investors through a digital-first experience signals that expectations in wealth services are converging with those in mainstream digital finance: instant access, self-serve control and slicker onboarding, without necessarily sacrificing the perception of exclusivity. For CX and behavioral-economics practitioners, this is a useful case study in how "premium" and "digital-first" are no longer treated as opposites. Affluent clients still expect status cues and personalised service, but increasingly want them delivered through the same frictionless, on-demand channels they use elsewhere. Getting that balance right - exclusivity without inconvenience - is now a core service-design challenge for wealth providers. The Renascence take. The headline detail here isn't the technology partnership itself, but what it implies about how "private" service is being redefined for a digitally fluent affluent segment. Most coverage of embedded-finance launches like this focuses on the infrastructure story - who built what for whom. The more interesting question for service leaders is behavioral: affluent clients are being offered fewer human touchpoints in exchange for more control and speed, and providers are betting that perceived exclusivity can survive that trade-off. It won't automatically. Digital-first private banking only feels "private" if the platform compensates for the missing relationship manager with sharper personalisation, proactive insight and visible signals of status - otherwise it just reads as a self-service brokerage account with a premium name attached. Operators building on embedded infrastructure should treat the interface, not the back-end technology, as the primary lever for maintaining the premium feel their affluent segment is paying for.
