- Ensure execution of inspections, audits, and quality controls.
- Oversee nonconformance reports, return material authorizations, first article inspections, and engineering change activities.
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and registrar audits.
- Ensure adherence to specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support contract review and risk assessment processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality interactions.
- Manage customer audits, supplier corrective action requests, corrective actions, and scorecards.
- Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and Test Technicians.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance management within the department.
- Ensure proper staffing and coverage to meet production demands.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action efforts.
- Implement sustainable improvements to reduce defects and variation.
- Drive process improvements in collaboration with Production and Engineering.
- Track and report quality key performance indicators to leadership, including scrap, rework, first-pass yield, and customer returns.
- Provide data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Maintain AS9100 certification and improve customer quality performance across both organizations.
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001.
