  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with mechanical design
  • Experience with shock and vibrational analysis
  • Experience with mechanical design software tools like SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL
  • Knowledge of fixture design and manufacturing processes
Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, build, test, and integrate mechanical systems for quantum computers
  • Develop prototypes, test and analyze designs, and perform design iterations on complex parts and assemblies
  • Design enclosures to isolate components from environmental fluctuations
  • Model system dynamics including modal analysis, heat transfer, vibration, CFD, etc.
  • Interact with suppliers and collaborate with supply chain sourcing
