Requirements
  • A high school diploma, General Educational Development credential, and/or technical school graduation or certification.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • At least 6 months of relevant automotive repair experience or completion of a formal automotive training program.
  • Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, technical resources, and training sufficient to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance on automobiles and trucks.
  • Proper and consistent use of repair and maintenance equipment and tools, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the customer service score.
Responsibilities
  • Perform basic automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance procedures outlined on the repair order for which the technician is trained.
  • Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for service, and complete digital vehicle inspections.
  • Test-drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to the customer after necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work areas and perform other necessary duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASE certifications or equivalent, including A4 Suspension & Steering and A5 Brakes.
  • G1 Auto Maintenance & Light Repair certification.
  • A state inspection certificate where applicable.
  • AC 609 certification.
  • Own tools appropriate for the technician's skill level for use in the service center.
