Qualifications:

• Degree:  Doctorate in Medicine
• Experience:  2-5 Years preferred
• Supervisor Experience:  No Experience
• License:  Licensed Physician. Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Drug Enforcement Agency, Int Med Residency/Bd Eligible, BNDD- applicable state.

Overview

Boone Hospital Center, a 392-bed full service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon. The candidate for this position will be joining a world-class group of established general surgeons practicing to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.

Boone is currently a Magnet Hospital for its nursing excellence and has also been named the number one hospital in central Missouri and number five overall hospital in the state by U.S. News and World Report.

Practice Highlights:

• Join the heart care team, at Boone Hospital Center, that performs more cardiac-related procedures than any other mid-Missouri hospital.
• The current heart team includes world-class cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, electrophysiologists as well as specialized nurses, therapists, and rehabilitation experts.
• Work in a designated Level 1 STEMI center and Stroke with no trauma designation
• Immediate patient volume available, ensuring a rewarding practice from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional medical care of assigned patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver compassionate care.
• Perform thorough histories and physicals, adhering to hospital by-laws and best practices.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety in this critical role at Boone Health.
• Maintains status as a Board Certified/Eligible Physician (Internal Medicine)
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
