Requirements
  • A master’s degree or college/university graduation, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • At least 15 years of extensive relevant experience.
  • Expertise in the field and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive programs and activities.
  • Ability to manage autonomous individuals, managers, and diverse groups while providing broader direction.
  • Ability to negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level employees and officers.
  • Ability to develop and execute company business strategy.
  • Ability to make authoritative decisions and recommendations with significant impact on company activities.
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to implement and maintain safety and health systems, including RK Mechanical Orientation, site-specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 30.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate designated mechanical construction projects.
  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects.
  • Initiate, review, oversee, and maintain project administration and documentation.
  • Secure, review, process, and execute contract agreements.
  • Review, edit, finalize, and distribute project budgets.
  • Conduct pre-construction turnover meetings for assigned projects.
  • Obtain and post required permits and licenses.
  • Set up, monitor, and update project schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with the purchasing agent.
  • Negotiate, prepare, process, and execute subcontract agreements.
  • Oversee submittal reviews, processing, approvals, and submittal logs.
  • Develop, submit, and obtain approval of billing schedules of values.
  • Maintain an over-billed cash position and request retention release payments.
  • Collect payments, progress billings, and retention receivables by their due dates.
  • Price, negotiate, and process change conditions and change-order work.
  • Staff assigned projects with appropriate field forces, including labor resource loading and productivity management.
  • Oversee the use and return of tools and rental equipment on assigned projects.
  • Manage and forecast the financial performance and costs of assigned projects.
  • Prepare and submit required monthly project contract valuations on time.
  • Review, approve, and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
  • Attend monthly project management meetings and respond to questions about assigned projects.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled project staff meetings.
  • Comply with safety and health policies and stop work when unsafe conditions are present.
