  • Experience in leading Issue resolution activity for mass production
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, problem-finding skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in project management for mass production
  • Experience developing engineering manuals/templates
  • Experience conducting requirement analysis, or Vehicle testing
  • Experience in developing and efficiently implementing a process-supporting tool across the entire toolchain
  • Experience of Japanese/US/Euro automotive OEM/supplier cultures
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Fluency in English and Japanese
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering teams to define and integrate quality assurance strategies and process frameworks into program plans from initiation through execution and delivery.
  • Identify broad issues, extract key problems, and develop solution plans. Visualize data using graphical tools and implement data-driven process improvements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on process and quality-related matters. Effectively communicate process requirements, audit findings, improvement initiatives, and quality metrics.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to program teams on defined processes, best practices, and the application of relevant standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement through communication and agreement with stakeholders. Subsequently, Plan, conduct, and manage internal process assessments to ensure adherence to defined procedures and standards. Support teams with the timely closure of findings. Generate audit reports for management, presenting the findings, identified problems, and proposed corrective measures.
  • Provide guidance and support to program teams on ensuring the quality and testability of system/software requirements, architecture, and design documents. Participate in reviews.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving software quality, development efficiency, and process effectiveness across the ADAS portfolio. Lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers in the US and Japan to establish a collaborative system/software engineering process.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO standards related to safety and quality ( e.g. IATF 16949, ISO26262, ISO21434)
  • Basic knowledge of prompt engineering for Generative AI
  • Work experience related to software tool chain by using Python, Java or SQL
  • Work experience related to software quality metrics (e.g. Cyclomatic complexity)
  • Experience in code analysis tools like Understand, Lattix, and Polyspace
  • Experience in Requirement management tools like DOORS, Jama, Integrity, and Polarion
  • Experience leading project management like PMO.
  • Skills in team management of Agile/scrum development by using Jira/Confluence
  • Experience in software process improvement according to Automotive-SPICE
