Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills to track schedules, routes, and personnel.
  • Competence utilizing computers for scheduling and dispatching duties.
  • The ability to multitask with different and sometimes conflicting events occurring simultaneously.
  • The ability to work under stress, remain calm, and calm others during rapidly changing circumstances.

  • The ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.

Responsibilities
  • Dispatch trips to drivers through transportation software.
  • Assist the Manager and other team members with planning and managing transportation schedules to and from the center for program participants.
  • Report customer-service or safety incidents to the Transportation Manager as reported by transportation staff, program participants, or caregivers.
  • Monitor, communicate, and follow up on participant and caregiver complaints.
  • Use respite, nursing home, and death notifications to cancel or suspend transportation.
  • Send appropriate communications to staff regarding cancellations and suspensions.
  • Send appropriate communications about missed dialysis and external trips to the RNCM inbox and tag the IDT in the EMR system.
  • Assign special runs, such as field trips.
  • Make real-time adjustments to vehicle, route, and appointment assignments based on need.
  • Communicate about and manage unforeseen real-time situations.
  • Interact with, attend, and support IDT teams as necessary.
  • Attend quarterly huddles at day health centers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Transportation Management.
