- Bachelor's degree preferred in an energy-related, environmental policy, environmental studies, engineering, or business administration discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in related position(s) with Bachelor's degree
- Willingness to conduct frequent business travel regionally and occasional travel to conferences and the west coast
- Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies through phone calls and face-to-face meetings
- Familiarity with the HVAC, building envelope, water heater, and/or lighting industries preferred
- Work experience in sales or at HVAC contractor, distributor, or manufacturer preferred
- Exposure to building envelope and/or construction supply chain is a bonus, but not required
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in a primary role
- Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis using Excel a plus
- Ability to work and thrive independently
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred
- Supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of organizational relationships with HVAC, building envelope, water heating, and heat pump manufacturers, distributors, and contractors
- Traveling to trade ally/market actor locations to drive energy efficiency incentive program performance and build rapport
- Serving as a go-to resource and conduit between Energy Solutions program leads and Outreach and Trade Ally Team (OTAT)
- Tracking market activity and developments to develop in-depth knowledge and accurately predict market activity
- Contributing to and supporting outreach plans for new and existing programs
- Analyzing program-level participation statistics, market and economic data, and regulatory activity to determine sales potential and monitor performance trends
- Contributing to the development of trade ally and market actor relationships, managing and building out best practice documentation
- Developing familiarity with public data resources and finding relevancy to Energy Solutions’ strategic interests, and report development as appropriate
