The Product Development Manager for Amerock will lead new product initiatives across multiple product categories including cabinet hardware, functional hardware, bath accessories, decorative hooks, future logical adjacencies and merchandising. The Product Manager will be responsible for gaining and maintaining deep industry knowledge including channel needs and strategy, comprehensive competitive product research and analysis, pricing analysis and product lifecycle analysis and execution. The Product Manager will collaborate across all channels to ensure channel alignment on new product initiatives and project manage commercialization activities driving an efficient launch cycle.
This is a Hybrid role based out of Huntersville, NC (Charlotte), in accordance with the Amerock Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple new product development projects adhering to Stage Gate process
- Collaborate with Director of Product to implement a product development strategy and multi-year roadmap that aligns with the company’s business goals and market trends.
- Define timelines and ensure successful execution of product development projects across multiple channels including retail/co-op (hardware stores), trade (distribution), showroom and digital
- Work closely with other departments, including sourcing, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure product launch success
- Lead competitive product and pricing analysis efforts and serve as subject matter expert on both Amerock and competitive product portfolios
- Own the project management of all stages of project from start to finish. Collaborate with channel and marketing leads to identify commercialization activities necessary for effective launch
- Proactively communicate project status, timelines and roadblocks effectively with partners and build strong relationships across the organization
- Tracks and communicates financial results of new product initiatives to key internal and external partners on a regular cadence
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Identify potential risks in the product development process and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Experience in merchandising, including working alongside team members to develop a strategy, execution, planogram experience as well as vendor management
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into product development. Perform comprehensive market opportunity research for potential new category entry
- Own the product lifecycle/discontinuation process in alignment with product strategy and in collaboration with channel leads to ensure appropriate revenue continuity
- Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement
- Continually evaluate product development process, identify areas for improvement and effectively implement process improvements

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Product Management)
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in product development roles, with a successful track record of bringing products to market
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong experience with Stage Gate and Product Lifecycle Management
- Experience working across multiple sales channels with emphasis on trade, showroom and digital channels strongly preferred
- Experience with products positioned from opening price point through premium/luxury price points
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with project management platforms (i.e. Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.)
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation

Pay Range:

$6,374.70 - $13,933.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
