Requirements
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year technical degree OR 1 year of related work experience within industrial electronics repair
  • Experience in the repair of AC/DC servo drives, industrial amplifiers, spindle drives is preferred
  • Experience with the repair of components from the following manufactures is plus: Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Indramat/RexRoth, Mitsubishi
Responsibilities
  • Performing service and repair duties including maintenance, repair, and assembly under little or no supervision
  • Reading schematic drawings or engineering instructions for assembling and disassembly on electronic units
  • Developing tests as necessary for various manufacturers
  • Troubleshooting and repairing for various drive manufacturers
  • Providing phone support for customers and other Paragon branches
  • Documenting test procedures and results
  • Component/Board level repair and troubleshooting
  • Soldering through hole and surface mount components
  • Using DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, variable power supplies, Huntron, amp probe, and other lab test equipment
  • Wiring drives and motors together for testing purposes
  • Loading and modifying parameters for drives
  • Testing electronic units using standard test equipment and analyzing to evaluate performance and determine needed adjustment
  • Applying electronic theory to troubleshoot malfunctions and provide remedy
  • Maintaining and ensuring acceptable cleanliness levels within the department
  • Ensuring safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout the organization
  • Participating in continuous improvement through training and associate development
  • Performing all other duties as assigned
