Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Design, Art or Fashion or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years of experience in concept, trend and color creation
  • Skilled in cross-functional influencing and collaboration
  • Experience working on projects across seasons
  • Excellent time management (ability to work fast and stay organized) and social skills (bring a strong representation for concept and trend across the matrix)
  • Possess high aesthetic taste
  • Previous experience working with global brands (fashion, footwear, apparel)
  • Excellent color matching skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Keynote, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Miro collaborative software
  • Extensive knowledge of color theory, color models RGB, CMYK and Pantone matching systems
  • Excellent eye for color: Munsell color test results
  • Understanding of the Global marketplace
  • Ability to translate knowledge and creative direction into commercial aesthetics with a strong understanding of the mainstream consumer
  • Ability to travel domestically/globally
Responsibilities
  • Research and capture insights to drive consumer-focused concept, color and trend direction. Drive trend research across fashion, sport/street-wear and adventure to inform overarching annual and seasonal creative direction in collaboration with Sr Director of Creative & Trend
  • Develop insights that lead to seasonal concepts that excite our consumers and encourage the Crocs organization
  • Contribute to annual creative direction body of work (inclusive of concept, color and trend) for key quarterly achievement meetings
  • Work to ensure that the seasonal creative, concept, color and trend direction is cascaded throughout the design team and applied holistically and cohesively throughout the line
  • Bring together the movement of global trends through relevant market travel, trade shows, social and web research, and trend agency research
  • Be a resource for the design team, category management, and product development throughout the seasonal product creation process, helping to translate concept to product, and providing perspective and insight during design reviews and achievement meetings to make recommendations to keep product line on trend
  • Drive the monthly Crocs Trend Newsletter to both inspire with the new, confirm on work in flight and galvanize creative future for the greater Crocs team, on an ongoing cadence
