Requirements
  • An advanced CASAC credential with three to five years of supervisory experience, or a current LMSW or LMHC license with three to five years of supervisory experience and experience working in substance use treatment or recovery services.
  • Experience working within behavioral healthcare systems, particularly OASAS-regulated residential programs.
  • Strong leadership, program evaluation, quality assurance, budgeting, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and collaborate successfully with staff, leadership, and community partners.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with multiple electronic database systems.
  • A valid New York State driver’s license, safe driving record, and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement person-centered services aligned with best practices and individualized recovery goals.
  • Provide clinical and administrative oversight and participate in case reviews to ensure service quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure programs operate in compliance with OASAS regulations, Medicaid requirements, certification standards, funding requirements, and East House policies.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained in evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture that supports staff development, accountability, and high performance.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate direct reports and provide consultation to program managers regarding staffing and operational decisions.
  • Implement and monitor staff performance expectations and improvement plans.
  • Ensure maximum occupancy, utilization, and integration of services and assess program performance using established benchmarks.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource utilization, and operational efficiency within assigned programs.
  • Manage crisis and behavioral risk situations and maintain appropriate staffing and safe program environments.
  • Represent East House in community collaborations and support the development or redesign of services to meet emerging needs.
  • Support strategic agency initiatives and serve on leadership teams as assigned.
  • Follow all applicable policies, federal and state laws, and East House compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Ethics, Compliance & Quality to address noncompliance and document corrective actions.

East House provides housing and recovery support services for adults with mental health and substance use issues. It operates in Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties, offering community-based programs that help people transition from institutional care to stable, supportive living. A key program is Affinity Place, a no-fee, short-term housing option that serves as a hospital diversion and is staffed by individuals with lived experience to support recovery. The organization funds its work through community support, donations, and partnerships to sustain its programs and reach over 1,200 people each year. East House aims to help adults 21 and older recover and lead fulfilling lives in a safe, empowering community while reducing crisis-driven services.
