Guideline is looking for a Product Design Manager with exceptional design, communication, and people management skills to help build the best 401(k) platform for people.
What You Will Be Working On
Guideline’s mission is to give everyone a better future by making it easy (and enjoyable!) to save for retirement. As a Product Design Manager, you will lead teams that are responsible for reimagining retirement planning from the ground up. In this role, you will be a foundational member on the leadership team, working with engineering, data, UX research, and other disciplines to define the strategy and guide the team to operate at the highest level of craft and execution.You’ll lead the design team and strategy for our consumer team. You’ll also:
- Own OKRs and set design vision
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and operations
- Work cross-functionally with other internal teams at Guideline
- This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Design
The Team
Our design team is currently made up of 5 product designers with each designer owning their own problem space.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of industry experience
- 4+ years of management/leading experience on a Design team
- A portfolio that showcases your proficiency across all platforms
- A proven track record in your personal approach to user-centered design and guiding teams to adopt best practices for ensuring a high quality bar
- Can clearly communicate and present design decisions with solid rationale, user research, and data
- Experience leading product strategy and representing design at a company level
- A passion for collaboration. You communicate proactively and often with cross-functional teams, you are great to collaborate with, and comfortable taking the lead in a fast-paced environment

Offer Package
The expected Salary Range for this position is $160,500 - $192,000 annually. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, and work location.
