The Enterprise Technology team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join their growing team. In this role you will architect, engineer, and implement a variety of automations as they relate to IT operations, identity and access management, and more. We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of IAM best practices, IaC tools, and the desire to automate day-to-day technical operations to enhance business productivity.
The role requires strong SaaS administration and integration experience (E.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Jira, Active Directory), solid knowledge of CI/CD principles and architecture, as well as exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills. It’s critical that the individual in this role has a deep functional knowledge of IAM, user lifecycle management, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, configuration, and documentation of all IT automation including but not limited to authentication and authorization workflows, as well as the integration and administration of various SaaS applications and IdPs
- Develop automation and where applicable utilize no-code/low-code platforms such as Okta Workflows, Tines, Jira, Zapier, and/or other tools to automate IT support processes and employee lifecycle workflows (joiners, movers, leavers)
- Reconcile, consolidate, and/or replicate disparate directory services and security groups to provide a seamless user login and privileged access experience
- Work with Information Security to plan and implement our identity and access management vision
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Python required
- Experience working with REST, SOAP and/or RPC APIs
- Expert knowledge of authentication and provisioning methods such as SAML, OIDC, SCIM and API-based workflows]
- Experience working with and in-depth knowledge of various forms of multi-factor authentication and 3rd party providers
- Familiarity with a multitude of different SaaS and unified communications platforms including but not limited to Workday, Okta, Google Workspace, Jira, Active Directory, Zoom, 8x8, and Slack
- Nice to haves:
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform
- Experience with serverless compute services such as AWS Lambda
- Strong Linux systems administration experience
- OpenLDAP knowledge preferred
- SaltStack
Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
