About the Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers for our New Products team to apply their expertise on our range of devices.
As a senior developer, you will possess the skills and confidence to undertake the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment, frequently be taken out of your comfort zone and relish getting your hands dirty whilst building our products.
The ideal candidate will have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive programs with the product and commercial teams within Roku and across external strategic partner organizations. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.
Were excited if you have
- Relevant software development experience
- In-depth understanding of Linux, tools, libraries and open-source development
- Extensive systems programming experience with C/C++
- Ability to work in both user and kernel space
- Intimate knowledge of media playback engines and streaming protocols
- Ability to accurately estimate software tasks and work to schedule
- SoC development and integration
- Integration of third-party code
- A proven track record of shipping high-quality software on embedded platforms is essential
