SCAN named to Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

SCAN named to Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list. "We are honored to receive this recognition during a period of exceptional growth and transformation at SCAN," said Dr. Sachin H. Jain, CEO of SCAN Group and SCAN Health Plan. April 2, 2026 LONG BEACH, Calif. - April 2, 2026 - SCAN Health Plan (SCAN), one of the nation's largest nonprofit Medicare Advantage health plans, has been named by Great Place To Work(R) and Fortune Media* as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For(R) in 2026, marking the sixth consecutive year SCAN has made a Great Place to Work Best Workplaces list. This recognition comes during a period of historic growth for SCAN, as it continues to expand its reach while investing in a workplace culture focused on employee development and mission-driven work. "We are honored to receive this recognition during a period of exceptional growth and transformation at SCAN," said Dr. Sachin H. Jain, CEO of SCAN Group and SCAN Health Plan. "Our team's passion for keeping seniors healthy and independent enables us to grow while remaining committed to our mission. This recognition highlights the strength of that dedication." Founded in 1977, SCAN has grown from a regional nonprofit into one of the top 10 largest Medicare Advantage organizations in the country and #1 health plan in California (outside of the Kaiser Permanente health system plans). Since 2020, SCAN has more than doubled its membership, increasing from 219,000 to more than 440,000 members. The organization now serves 33 counties across six states: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Washington. Over the same period, revenue has grown from $3.4 billion to a projected $8 billion, enabling SCAN to reinvest in pioneering benefits, services and care models designed to support the health and independence of older adults. SCAN's recent growth was further propelled by its "Health Insurance is Broken" campaign, launched in 2025. This initiative directly tackles the challenges older adults face when navigating the healthcare system, resonating strongly in key SCAN markets. The campaign strengthened SCAN's reputation as a nonprofit committed to improving the healthcare experience for older adults by providing personalized service, trustworthy guidance, and value-based care. "Our growth is the result of deliberate investments in a culture that encourages innovation in a rapidly evolving industry," said Lindsay Crawley-Herbert, SCAN's Chief People and Transformation Officer. "We focus on supporting our employees' wellbeing, learning, and development so they can address the unique and evolving needs of our members and communities. As our employees grow, our impact expands, enabling us to better serve those we care for." The 100 Best Companies to Work For list honors companies that build a high-trust workplace environment, measured through Great Place To Work's proprietary survey platform. Confidential feedback from more than 1.3 million employees in the U.S. is matched against HR data from participating companies. Only companies with consistently high survey responses across the 60 statements that comprise the Trust Index(TM) Survey earn placement on this exclusive list.
