You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. Experience life at the forefront of a better tomorrow – for patients, our hospital and your career.
This is a full time position working 6:45a-5:00p with rotation to 845a-7:00p once a week at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortland Manor, New York. There is an on-call requirement for weeknights, weekends and holidays.
Preferred Criteria
Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting.
New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care.
