- A minimum of a 90-hour Activity Training Certificate is preferred, or COTA qualification.
- A current Ohio Driver’s License is required, along with a good driving record and insurability.
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in activities, programs, or event planning is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
- Ability to communicate with people of varied backgrounds and education levels, including people with cognitive and physical limitations.
- Ability to engage older adults in programs that enhance their quality of life.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- A flexible schedule is required for some evening and weekend activities.
- Plan and facilitate activities.
- Plan lifelong learning opportunities for independent living residents on campus and trips to other venues.
- Plan off-campus day, overnight, and multi-day trips for skilled nursing residents.
- Independently offer educational opportunities for residents, including presenting programs when needed.
- Assist with the monthly calendar.
- Execute scheduled activities.
- Complete resident activity, spiritual, and MDS assessments.
- Assist with resident transportation and perform other assigned duties.
- A minimum of a 90-hour Activity Training Certificate.
