Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of valid experience is required.
  • The candidate must be actively pursuing the Registered Behavior Technician credential through measurable progress toward obtaining the credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, or already be registered with the Board as a Registered Behavior Technician.
  • The candidate should have experience working with adults and/or managing challenging behaviors with adults.
  • The candidate must possess a driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance for driving to and from client locations.
  • The candidate must obey all local, state, and federal laws and rules when working with and transporting participants.
  • The candidate must have a working cell phone for position-required time-management requirements.
  • The candidate must demonstrate basic typing and writing skills for required paperwork.
  • The candidate must demonstrate maturity and responsibility when working with participants.
Responsibilities
  • Implement applied behavior analysis skills aligned with the principles of behavior analysis.
  • Provide client training and implement individualized programs for adults to increase communication, self-help, social, and employment skills.
  • Implement assigned Behavior Intervention Plans during participant sessions or shifts and report to the assigned Case Manager or other supervisors to improve participant outcomes and service quality.
  • Demonstrate competency with continuous measurement procedures, including frequency and duration, and discontinuous data measurement procedures, including partial-interval recording.
  • Collect and enter data on interfering behaviors and skill-acquisition program goals, and update graphs for the assigned participant each day.
  • Conduct preference assessments and assist with functional-assessment procedures.
  • Apply reinforcement contingencies, discrete trials, incidental teaching, task analyses, chaining, discrimination training, stimulus-control transfer, stimulus fading, prompting and prompt-fading antecedent procedures, consequence-based procedures, differential reinforcement, extinction, and crisis or emergency procedures.
  • Complete objective session or daily notes aligned with participant programming goals and the Behavior Intervention Plan.
  • Manage undesired interfering behaviors while following and implementing the Behavior Intervention Plan and collaborating with the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Use positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time.
  • Facilitate participant motivation and teach functional, job-related, and social skills through preference assessments and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and remain flexible across assignments, participants, and new work situations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements in communications.
  • Respond to email within 24 hours and return calls and text messages within appropriate time frames to serve business and participant needs.
  • Facilitate positive interactions with participants, peers, coworkers, supervisors, families, and service coordinators.
