Requirements
  • Shipped large language model-powered and voice systems into production environments where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Demonstrated full-stack capability across applied large language models, real-time voice and conversational artificial intelligence, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant software as a service.
  • Formed strong technical judgments about reliability engineering, edge-case management, and trade-offs between artificial intelligence quality and cost per call.
  • Built managed and service-heavy platforms with the discipline to scale delivery without scaling engineering headcount.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal and challenge solutions that will not scale or are not ready when product integrity requires it.
  • Remains a hands-on builder who writes code and ships products.
  • Experience building products for finance, accounting, or financial operations is preferred, including understanding accounts receivable, days sales outstanding, aging, disputes, and finance-team workflows.
  • Based in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, or willing to relocate there, is preferred.
  • Willingness to help find and close early customer partnerships is preferred.
  • An active social media presence that can support founder-led distribution is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Own product and engineering as the technical co-founder in partnership with the CEO.
  • Take over the production code, continue building the product, and lead end-to-end execution.
  • Harden voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability.
  • Establish core architecture, observability, and audit-trail standards for a product that communicates with customers' debtors.
  • Build internal infrastructure for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing agent performance without scaling engineering headcount.
  • Mature the workflow engine so every call, intent classification, and next action flows reliably.
  • Own the accounting and enterprise resource planning integration layer, including QuickBooks and Xero.
  • Own trade-offs between artificial intelligence quality and cost per call and establish unit economics within a productized monthly pricing model.
  • Represent the company to finance leaders, partners, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers, expand the artificial intelligence staff beyond collections, and begin developing custom and self-hosted models where data privacy and financial compliance require them.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and establish the company's cultural foundation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Finance, accounting, or financial operations background.
  • Based in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, or ready to relocate there.
  • Pragmatic and creative approach focused on reaching a working solution quickly and iterating.
  • Cooperative, strategic, and hands-on working style.
  • Willingness to help find and close early customer partnerships.
  • Active social media presence that can support founder-led distribution.
