Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory and administrative experience, preferably in mental health or chemical dependency residential programs.
  • Certification or licensure in human services field required (e.g., CASAC, LMSW, etc.).
  • NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare systems (OMH, OASAS) and residential services.
  • Strong leadership, program evaluation, quality assurance, budgeting, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with culturally diverse individuals and collaborate with staff.
  • Intermediate computer literacy involving proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with multiple database systems.
Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements client-centered services aligned with best practices and individualized goals.
  • Provides clinical oversight and participates in case reviews to ensure service quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensures staff training in evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Promotes a positive and inclusive work culture that supports staff development and high performance.
  • Supervises, mentors, and evaluates direct reports; provides consultation for program managers’ staffing decisions.
  • Implements and monitors staff performance expectations and improvement plans.
  • Ensures maximum occupancy, utilization, and integration of services; assesses performance using benchmark data.
  • Oversees budgeting, resource utilization, and operational efficiency within units.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory and funding requirements, including Medicaid and certification standards.
  • Manages crisis and behavioral risk situations; maintains appropriate staffing and safe environments.
  • Represents East House in community collaborations and redesigns services to meet emerging needs.
  • Supports strategic agency initiatives and serves on leadership teams as assigned.

  • Equivalent experience in lieu of education.

East House provides housing and recovery support services for adults with mental health and substance use issues.
