Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in social media preferred, but not required
  • B.A. in Communications, Journalism or Marketing is an asset, but not required
  • Proven success in a social media role, either personally or professionally
  • Knowledge of a variety of social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) & experience with newer / emerging social platforms
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Strong communication, multitasking and analytical skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Passion for building social communities
  • Self-motivated, clear communicator
Responsibilities
  • Planning and executing social media strategies across our active social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Flipboard, Instagram etc), including the creation of a weekly social calendar and monthly social reports for our leadership team
  • Data analysis of content published, including performance reports for each channel
  • Collaboration with design to create unique and engaging content/graphics/videos
  • Engaging with our audience to build brand awareness and maintain brand reputation
  • Create compelling and intriguing newsletters with the support of the editorial team
