  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 2 years+ experience with customer service in a hospitality environment

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning the execution of events, allotting resources, and coordinating the efforts of all FOH event staff.
  • Work closely with the FOH Manager and Assistant Manager for Bar/Beverage to ensure that all special event FOH needs including bar service are fully staffed and supported.
  • Work under the direction of the FOH Manager during all large, complex, and/or VIP special events including weddings.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards of operation that provide for the efficient execution of events and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Request and monitor temporary staffing service needs with local staffing agencies.
  • Responsible for managing temp staffing on day of event including serving 'check in' function, providing instructions regarding assigned tasks; and checking out.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of event details via the BEO and all elements of our catering menus.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Banquet Inventory and initiate outsourced rentals when needed from local & approved vendor/s.
  • Maintain monthly banquet wares inventory to be delivered to SE Manager between 1st & 5th of each month.
  • During events, serve as the communication liaison between FOH & BOH interfacing with chef to ensure the team is well versed on the unique offerings, menu items, and service expectations.
  • Actively participate in weekly event meetings and remain up to date on all changes to BEOs.
  • Organize and execute pre-event meetings, temp staff orientations and ongoing training sessions.
  • Ensure team members attendance, productivity and a positive work environment are all maintained.
  • Provide Total Team Service allowing for consistency in guest satisfaction by continually observing both quality in food and service and making adjustments or reporting concerns to chef or FOH Manager as necessary.
  • Resolve guest concerns and elevate any necessary issues as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between Culinary, Special Events, and other departments.
  • Assist Special Events with service plans and floor charts.
  • Produce nightly MOD/Catering Captain report on each event to be emailed to SE Manager, FOH Manager, Beverage Manager and Event Coordinator.

Logan welcomes dean of College of Chiropractic. Logan University (Chesterfield, MO) welcomes Angela Pierce, DC, PhD, DipACLM as dean of the College of Chiropractic. Dr. Pierce is a chiropractic physician, neuroscientist and nationally recognized leader in whole health medical education. She brings nearly two decades of experience spanning academic leadership, curriculum innovation, translational research, and whole-person health integration. "I am deeply honored to join Logan University at such an exciting time in chiropractic education," Dr. Pierce said. "Logan's rich chiropractic tradition and student-centered environment are legacies I have long admired, and I am excited to join a place where meaningful work and purpose are infused in the culture. I step into this role energized by that foundation and driven by the belief that great chapters are ahead. As the founder and CEO of Whole Health Together, LLC, Dr. Pierce advances evidence-based lifestyle medicine, behavior change, and well-being strategies for individuals and organizations. Her work blends rigorous scientific training with a deep commitment to human well-being, drawing on her background as a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a certified health and wellness coach through Duke Health & Integrative Medicine. Before joining Logan University, Dr. Pierce served as assistant dean of whole health integration and founding faculty at the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, where she led the development of a four-year whole health and self-care curriculum, created institutional definitions and frameworks for whole health, and designed novel courses integrating medicine, art, and well-being. She previously spent six years at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she held multiple administrative roles - including director of preclinical assessment and phase II director - and taught extensively across the medical curriculum. Dr. Pierce earned her PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Kansas Medical Center, where her research focused on early life stress, chronic pelvic pain, and neuroimmune mechanisms. Her work has been published in PAIN, Frontiers in Physiology, Neurourology and Urodynamics, The Journal of Pain, and other peer-reviewed journals. She has delivered more than 40 invited talks and keynote addresses on topics ranging from stress neurobiology to art in medical education, whole health and curriculum design. Additionally, Dr. Pierce has guided dozens of medical, graduate, and undergraduate trainees and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Madison & Lila Self Fellowship, the Mamie E. Johnston Creative Art in Teaching Award, and several research presentation distinctions. She has also completed advanced leadership training through the Duke Leadership Program in Whole Health & Well-Being, the Harvard Macy Institute, and the Society for Neuroscience Early Career Policy Fellowship.
