Requirements
  • Solid experience as a full-stack or backend developer, showcasing a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • 6+ years of experience building scalable web services.
  • Experience with Node.js, Serverless services (Lambda, Aurora, Fargate, API Gateway, etc.), MySQL/DynamoDB, Containerization (Docker, Fargate, EKS, etc.) and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with building data pipelines & workflow automations using Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar.
  • A desire to learn new technologies and expand your scope as needed in a fast moving startup environment.
  • Expertise in AWS services and understanding of best practices for various service needs.
  • Experience with gRPC and Protobuf.
  • Experience building and shipping highly available and scalable APIs.
  • Experience as a tech lead in a fast moving team building backend services.
Responsibilities
  • Design & develop APIs to support new features and functionality for end user applications & vehicles.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices.
  • Writing tests for the features you build to ensure correct functionality.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and other engineering teams to develop systems as our needs grow and evolve.
  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices for development and testing.
  • Write RFCs for new product features to drive the development process.
  • Take ownership of projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
