The Parts Expeditor is responsible for quickly identifying, sourcing, and billing automotive parts for technicians based on service requests. The role requires a solid understanding of automotive parts, high attention to detail, and proficiency in using tools like Snap-on and CDK to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
Look up and identify vehicle parts using Snap-on and CDK software.
Communicate effectively with technicians and service advisors to ensure accurate parts selection and delivery.
Process and bill parts for services based on technician needs and work orders.
Organize and maintain inventory of automotive parts.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly supplying technicians with the necessary parts.
Ensure accurate part numbers, pricing, and documentation for billing.
Manage part handoffs to technicians and resolve any discrepancies related to parts.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive parts sales or related field.
Proficiency in Snap-on or similar automotive parts lookup systems.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, including filters, components, and tools.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to work with service advisors and technicians.
Basic proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet tools is a plus.
Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
