Requirements
  • Have 3+ years of professional software development experience and are proficient in at least one programming language (Golang preferred)
  • Experience with billing systems is a plus
  • You are familiar with microservice architectures, and ideally, have seen them in operation on a global scale.
  • Have an understanding of security principles
  • Have prior experience working in high performance or distributed systems
  • Have professional backend software development experience in cloud environments (While we strive to hire at a variety of experience levels, this particular opening is not well-suited for recent graduates)
  • Have prior experience working on and with observability tools
  • Are able to knowledgeably discuss performance, security, and user interactions in complex systems
  • Have commercial experience operating and troubleshooting distributed systems in the cloud
Responsibilities
  • Develop next-generation distributed systems for the HashiCorp Cloud Platform
  • Build billing services primarily in Golang
  • Develop critical user journeys on the Hashicorp Cloud Platform portal for internal and external customers
  • Interface directly with internal teams, users, and HashiCorp customers
  • Work with HashiCorp products such as Terraform, Consul, Vault, and Nomad
  • Build and architect systems for managing extremely large-scale global fleets of resources
  • Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release
  • Program primarily in Golang (Golang experience not required), learning from and contributing to a team committed to continually improving their skills
  • Collaborate and learn remotely with a dedicated team of engineers, delivering incremental value to the business while enhancing your skills
