Qualcomm is looking for an experienced and hands-on Product Manager in the Cloud Business Unit to help strategize and drive next generation Server SoCs and Platforms roadmap. In this customer-focused role, you will be working with the world’s leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), drawing insights and requirements from a deep understanding of the cloud hardware infrastructure landscape in these customer’s datacenters, and driving the Cloud server, rack, systems and platforms definitions and roadmap targeting general-purpose and AI workloads.
In addition, such candidate is expected to prioritize use cases while working closely with customers, engineering, sales, and business development
teams.
Furthermore, such candidate will also function as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and sales as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their lifecycle.
Lastly, such candidate will formulate and execute long-term roadmaps for cost/profit control and promote the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
The position requires strong expertise in business and systems analysis, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders within Product Management team and across various functional teams.
Principal Requirements and Responsibilities:
Responsible for definition and execution of strategic planning of Server SoC roadmap, including server platforms and racks
Take end-to-end ownership of the product and be a tireless voice for of the customer, while ensuring business goals are met
Drive adoption of Cloud server platforms with customers: evangelize existing and future solutions across internal and external customers
Drive and product-manage the customer engagement activities. coordinating with internal stakeholders such as program management, software development, performance benchmarking, and applications engineering
Align with Qualcomm cross-functional teams (Business Unit, Sales, Engineering) on CSP and OEM/ODM requirements, with emphasis on driving enablement/communications, support, and address and balance prioritization of the requirements through formal MRD/PRD process
Responsible for partnering with and managing key OEM and ODM customer engagements, from product concept through qualification and post-launch, to deliver the servers, racks and platforms, to CSP customers
Drive executive decision making for new investments in cloud data center solutions, including competitive analysis, program goals and business requirements, architectural concepts, risk management strategies, financial analysis, schedule and hardware strategy
Work closely with datacenter business teams to drive adoption across the portfolio
Build strong relationships with the program management and engineering counterparts on the customer side
Preferred Experience:
10+ years of experience in the Cloud and Datacenter industry, with experience at CSP, OEM, ODM, or technology provider level
Solid understanding of CSP, OEM and ODM customer product life cycle
Significant experience in a customer-facing role and experience with CSPs or enterprise datacenter customers is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of server workloads and ISV ecosystem
In-depth knowledge of cloud and datacenter hardware requirements and design
Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects
Highly results driven
Experience in writing business plans and commercial justifications
