General Summary
- The Revenue Cycle Quality and Performance Improvement Analyst is responsible for implementing opportunities for enhancement and/or standardization initiatives, managing the long-term success and sustainability of those initiatives, and continuous improvement projects within the revenue cycle of the health system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Is a super user in system applications, tools, technologies, and processes; assists other employees as needed to ensure all tools are fully utilized to create an efficient and effective revenue cycle.
- Builds strong relationships and facilitates productive communication between key stakeholders and core support departments.
- Develop training, tools, and standards of work for revenue cycle departments and assigned projects.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement system and workflow enhancements to streamline daily operations to improve financial performance.
- Lead the development and execution of select high priority workplans to capture opportunities and achieve waste reduction.
- Provide training, coaching and support to employees at all levels to promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation and accountability, ensuring widespread adoption of improvement initiatives and sustainable results.
- Analyzes and interprets large volumes of healthcare financial data within the revenue cycle to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement, to include data validation.
- Facilitates meetings and documents and records thorough and on-time meeting minutes.
Education
- Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience in relevant area(s).
Work Experience
- A minimum of two years previous work experience in healthcare with a minimum of one year in revenue cycle.
- Familiarity with Epic and/or experience with technology integration.
- Demonstrated ability to root cause assess, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Certification/License
- HFMA Certification preferred.
Mental/Physical Requirements
- Requires normal attention, with periods of considerable mental concentration. Work is primarily sedentary with extensive use of a computer.
