Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience with wireless products, ideally cellular, with exposure to mission-critical or defense-related applications is considered an asset.
  • Experience designing or managing both hardware and software products is required.
  • Five to eight years of experience in management and/or product development is required.
  • Very good communication skills in French, including reading and speaking, and English, including reading, writing, and speaking, are required.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail abilities are required.
  • Strong ability to identify, prevent, and solve problems when needed is required.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide project leadership to strategic, high-impact projects with strong organizational visibility.
  • Manage and influence project outcomes across the organization to achieve the best results.
  • Anticipate problem situations, help resolve problems involving different teams, and implement mitigation or contingency plans.
  • Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, stakeholders, communication, change management, and quality.
  • Identify and plan proactively for cross-functional project interdependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Review project schedules with senior management and staff affected by project activities.
  • Coordinate with multi-site development teams or external partners.
  • Execute projects according to the project plan.
  • Coordinate resources with appropriate managers.
  • Maintain an updated plan of record for ongoing activities using MPP, XLS, or Atlassian tools.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Update stakeholders, including senior leadership and key program sponsors.
  • Review completed work regularly to ensure it meets standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations groups to ensure proper product handover.
