At Airplane, we’re building better infrastructure for internal tools. We believe that every company will become a software company, and behind the scenes these businesses are powered by humans and an ever-growing collection of tools. We provide building blocks for engineering teams to rapidly develop best-in-class tools.
We’re a small, remote-first team with hybrid offices in NYC and SF. We move fast, build high quality systems, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. 😊
We’re hiring our first solutions engineer. You’ll be our customers’ main technical point of contact pre-sale and post-sale. You’ll help define what this role looks like and lay the foundation for our ability to scale and specialize this role.
You’ll work on things like:
Working closely with sales and customer success to help our customers succeed
Answer technical questions in Slack, email, and our ticketing system
Helping customers with onboarding and implementation
Working closely with the engineering team to develop product roadmap based on what we hear from our customers
Developing templates, documentation, and customer-driven projects
We’re looking for candidates with:
1+ years in a customer-facing role (for example: sales engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect, customer success, startup founder)
Basic software engineering skills, at the level of being able to build tasks, views, and workflows in Airplane
The compensation range for this position is between $125,000 and $160,000 depending on your level of seniority, plus an equity component. We’ll evaluate senior professionals who may fall outside of this range case by case.
