- The candidate must have a positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
- The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- ASE certification is preferred, or the candidate must have a plan to achieve it.
- The candidate must be capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles.
- The candidate must meet or exceed hourly goals.
- The candidate must have an aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- The candidate must maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate strong communication.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a role offering long-term career development.
- The candidate must occasionally lift or move over 100 pounds.
- The candidate must be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
- The candidate must be able to work in tight spaces as dictated by the required vehicle repair.
- The candidate must have the dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- The candidate must walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
- The candidate must be able to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
- The candidate must efficiently navigate a computer.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and technical skills.
- Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
- Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- ASE certification.
