Requirements
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record free of DUIs.
- Read and follow directions, perform basic math, and research diagnostic techniques.
- Communicate clearly over the phone, online, and in person.
- Use a cell phone to make reports, take pictures, and perform inspections.
- Perform the physical activities required for the role, including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and reaching.
- Lift up to 75 pounds.
- Have a basic set of hand tools.
- Maintain cooperative and courteous working relationships with peers and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Use tools to build, repair, and maintain the fleet of all-terrain vehicles and utility task vehicles.
- Perform vehicle inspections and record work results.
- Keep the work area clean and wear appropriate safety gear when required by policy.
- Perform a daily inventory of maintenance- or repair-tagged vehicles to prioritize workflow.
- Keep the work bay and associated shop areas clean and free of clutter.
- Assist with loading and unloading off-highway vehicles for triage or dispatch to the field.
- Perform vehicle or equipment repairs in a timely manner.
- Develop familiarity with assigned vehicles through training and repair manuals.
- Create parts orders when repairs or maintenance require purchasing parts or tools.
