- Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
- No experience is required.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification and ARRT-M Mammography certification are required for Wisconsin.
- A Wisconsin radiographer license is required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification is required where specified.
- Operate mammography equipment and perform mammography-related procedures, including preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Submit high-quality images and documentation to PACS promptly, ensuring image quality, correct marking, and accurate patient data and history.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and other departmental areas.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
