  • Three to five years of quality assurance and quality control inspection experience.
  • A current driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the state to cover projects in various areas.
  • Good documentation practices and organization of files and paperwork.
  • An in-depth understanding of codes, regulations, and standards, including the ability to navigate local, state, and national codes.
  • Willingness to teach and coach others to improve.
  • Communication skills for working with people of different backgrounds, personalities, and levels of understanding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and contracts.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to create and track non-conformance reports.
  • Ability to utilize multiple software platforms.
  • A courteous and professional manner with customers and their representatives.
  • Ability to investigate quality control functions involving piping, ductwork, plumbing, and other heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning items for craftsmanship and adherence to project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control functions on selected projects, including process development and reviews, defect evaluation, corrective action implementation, and onsite visual verification as necessary.
  • Oversee the quality of production by SPC and contract employees assigned to the project and ensure that proper quality procedures are followed.
  • Assist project teams in developing and maintaining the site-specific quality assurance and quality control manual where required.
  • Assist project teams with coordinating drawings and isometric documents, equipment hookup details, Tier 1 information boards, quality audits, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure that relevant quality processes are understood and followed.
  • Assist with ensuring that all work on the project jobsite meets project requirements and is completed in a workmanlike manner.
  • Perform other duties required for project success.
