Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer, with American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One of the following credentials is required: Cardiographic Technologist credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International; Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; or Medical Sonographer credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • For the radiologic technologist pathway, General Radiography and Wisconsin state radiology technologist licensure are required.
  • A high school diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience, an associate's or technical degree, or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.
  • The employer cannot employ STEM Optional Practical Training candidates because it does not participate in E-Verify.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, and accurately select exposure factors and anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patients during procedures, report abnormal activity, monitor protocols, and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents promptly to the Picture Archiving and Communication System, ensuring image quality, correct lead markers, and accurate patient data and history.
