About the Role
As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the General Manager in all facets of our Prince Street boutique leadership, from operational excellence to team development to luxury-level client service. You are the connective tissue of the store, ensuring every touchpoint is executed with precision and every guest encounter feels personalized. You lead with grace and strategy, nurturing a culture of passion and polish.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Sales Leadership
- Drive sales by engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and providing expert advice on fine jewelry.
- Foster an exceptional shopping experience by delivering personalized service and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Act as a brand ambassador by cultivating loyal client relationships and ensuring every interaction reflects the Ring Concierge aesthetic and values.
- Ensure accuracy of CRM data through accurate and complete information entry during the selling ceremony.
- Lead by example in driving sales and achieving KPIs, inspiring, and motivating sales advisors to achieve and exceed targets through exceptional service and selling techniques.
- Address and resolve client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that any operational challenges are managed effectively to minimize impact on the staff and client experience.
Team Leadership
- Assist in training and developing staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about our products and services.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance their performance and client interaction skills.
- Lead by example with maintaining the store’s appearance by ensuring displays are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure the store environment aligns with our brand standards.
- Set clear expectations, provide in the moment coaching and feedback, and manage performance.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to all operational procedures and policies.
- Serve as the acting leader during the General Manager’s absence, maintaining operational excellence and carrying out all managerial responsibilities.
- Adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury or high-end retail environment. Experience with jewelry sales is a plus.
- Strong sales and customer service skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a memorable client experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience in training and development.
- Familiarity with retail operations, including inventory management and reporting.
- Previous experience with Shopify POS is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- The annual compensation range for this role is $85,000-95,000.
