Requirements
  • A supervising physician may be required depending on state requirements.
  • An active Physician Assistant license in the state is required.
  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support certification are required.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with large daily volumes of service members is required.
  • Ability to work extended hours is required.
  • Ability to work in various locations, including remote military installations, is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills are required.
  • Diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications are not required.
Responsibilities
  • Support physical health assessments of military personnel.
  • Review health histories, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
  • Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
  • Identify concerns requiring immediate attention, including behavioral health concerns.
  • Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health.
  • Experience with mobile medical services.
  • Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology.
  • Ability to travel and work weekends.
